Eden bass necks - any experience with them?

Hi. I've been eyeballing some of the bass necks on eBay, sold by Eden Guitars. They are imports, made in China. Anyone here have any experience with these necks? I'm thinking to build a short scale low-cost parts bass.

One caveat is they all seem to be quite narrow at the nut, which is fine if that's what you're looking for. I was considering getting one with a paddle headstock for an 8 string, but the nut is just too narrow for that.

Have a couple of them and they are good quality for the price.

I recently bought one for my short scale project. Good quality. My only complaint is the amount of clear they use on the headstock. If you're going to paint or stain the headstock, keep that in mind. I had to sand quite a bit off before I could get the stain to seep in.

Thanks for all the helpful input! I would be going for an all maple shorty, leaving it unstained. Actually I really like a narrow nut so if it comes in tighter than spec I would be fine with it

Hi. Did you ever buy the neck and have them cut the headstock? If so, what are your impressions?

Yes... bought them. Currently at the shop having bodies fabricated. Seemed ok... frets a bit sharp on ends.

Follow-up.

Mine has some slight twisting. When my project is finalized, I hope that this twisting won't have have any significant negative effect.
