From the GK manual ,
1001RB-II 460W @ 8 Ohms 700W @ 4 Ohms
4 ohm minimum. If you get a 4 Ohm then you can NOT add a cab. 8 Ohms will be loud and you can add another cab if wanted or needed. More speakers will give more volume than the difference in wattage .
Be sure to join the Eden club when you get pictures of your new rig.

I used to have the GK 1001RBII. It's a good amp, but I ran the RBH cabinets with it , a 4x10 and a 1x15. The good thing about using those cabinets with that head is that you can take advantage of the Bi-Amp feature, which I did like initially but the setup really didn't give me the tone I was looking for. I didn't think it had any warmth at all to it. I switched to Eden WT1250 heads with various Eden Cabinets. They are discontinued but I think the WT 800 is still available and the new WTP 600 and 900 were just released...might be worth a listen.

Some good info there. I personally have found that if you pair any GK head up with the MXR M81 Preamp pedal, that you can get tons of awesome tones.

If you are set on the GK head you might think about a mesa boogie cab instead of the Eden. I tried and disliked the GK RBH cabs. Edens are great but not sure GK is the head Id pick for a 410xlt. Eden, SWR, and Ampeg and alembic+power have always worked well with my edens.

I think what I'll do is go ahead and purchase the Eden Cab at 8 ohms. Then I'll take it to guitar center and try out every head known to man, until I am satisfied. Sounds like a plan to me. Thanks everyone!

I just bought an Ampeg SVT and have been looking for a cab. I'm thinking about going with the 4 ohm Eden XLT. I'm curious about the low end bump of the XST? ;-)

If you are going to do the XST I would think about a heritage 410hlf instead. The xlt I think would be pretty rad with an svt. I ran them with other ampeg tops and they were great.

The XST does not have a low end bump.
It doesn't have the mid bump of the XLT and wider low end response and higher power handling.
Both are great cabs. A hard decision

I have a 1971 Ampeg Blueline SVT with an Eden D410XLT (4 ohm) and the sound is amazing. Did you end up getting the XLT?
