Eden D410XST cab & Ampeg SVT Classic Head

Hi there fellow bassists,
I am currently chasing a new 4 x 10 cab and have been looking at the Eden D410XST. I use an Ampeg SVT Classic 300 watt head and was wondering firstly
Has anyone used or got this combo and what is or was it like?
Secondly, are the Eden D410XST cabs good?
Thirdly, Would one of these cabs do the job for regular sized venues?

I haven't used the 410XST but I have used a stack of 2 210XST cabs together, so nearly the same thing... I can tell you that sound wise the XST range is not mid voiced like the XLT range and in contrast has very deep (wall shaking) lows and nice clear highs.

to cut through the mix you may have to push some mids but if you like a slightly scooped tone then you will get it quite easily with this cab. It is also supposed to be quite efficient so should give you some decent volume

PS. the cabs are heavy so don't expect an easy lift... the neo ones may be lighter, dunno if thats what u r looking at or not?

I had a 410 XLT which I didnt care for to much. I think I wouldve liked the XST line much better. Im sure they are great cabinets though..

If you need a great 4x10 for cheap Im looking to offload my Carvin RL410T at a reasonable price.

The Eden XST series is flatter sounding than the XLT. I LOVE the sound of the XST! Deep, tight, powerful and flat with no lower mid bump ( as with the XLT ). Should sound great with any head you like the tone.

I think the 410XST is a great cab!
It's a heavy mo%#@%er, but so is a SVT CL

BTW, you'll need a 4 ohm version to match the SVT CL.

Ampeg + Eden = horribly wrong



But since Ampeg doesn't make it easy for you by building the best 410 or 810 on the market anymore, I can't blame people for looking for alternatives, even Eden.

From using a Mesa 400+ and SVT 4 PRO with my Eden 410XLT's.....The sound is still good, but Eden cabs sound best with Eden Heads. I have done the A/B tests and the Eden heads make Eden cabs sing like no other. They honestly sound sub par with other amp heads. Regardless, I suggest trying out an Eden cab with your SVT and see what happens. You might like the tone. And yes, the tone is very deep, clear highs, and clear sounding midrange. No growly/punchy mid feel like the XLT series.
