Eden EX110 and EX112 Cabs

No problem, glad to help!
Well, since I own both the MB200 and MB500 (as well as a 1001rbII,) I just grabbed the 500 if I thought I'd need two cabs. I've never been forced to deal with the single output issue. I'm not sure what would be the best solution for that, as I've yet to research the options.
If you're ever forced to use your MB200 with two cabs, there are splitter cables for going from speakon to 2 x 1/4" outs. Now, how that will affect the impedance I don't know. Hopefully the amp will know it's running two cabs and drop down to 4ohms....

The splitter cable is most certainly parallel wired. Hooking up two equal cabs to this means the total impedance is half the impedance of one cabinet.

The amp will probably try to send the same signal as before, but needs to deliver twice the current.

I have the 4 ohm Ex112. Its an amazing little cabinet, I can't believe it isn't talked about more on here. Do a search, there is at least one or two threads on it that I commented in.

It is NOT a high-volume cabinet. If you plan to fight a drummer with one you should look elsewhere (though you could overcome drums with two of the 8-ohm ones). If you have a low-volume situation, it is clear, flat, sweet sounding, and VERY portable. It is very similarly toned to an EA Whizzy.

I use mine with a GK MB200 microhead for practicing and with my upright for 3 piece jazz combo gigs. Its perfect for coffee-house situations as well as for a pit orchestra or church gig stage monitor. That's what its designed to be, and how it should be used.

It only has one 1/4" jack on the back, which I promptly replaced with a speakon jack for just a few bucks and a few minutes of effort. The plastic corners say "Nemesis", as they are using up left over stock from the discontinued Eden Nemesis line. They are standard plastic corners of good quality, I could care less what they say upon close inspection.

I defy ANYONE to find a better sounding micro-cab at this price point.

Great review. How hard was it to swap out the 1/4" for a Speakon? I'm kind of Forrest Gump in that area, although I see a lot of the connectors with plates on eBay and Amazon. Thanks!

I know this is a zombie thread.. Has anyone tried a stack of 3 of the ex112's ? I have a Mesa WD800 that can do 2 ohms and like the idea of the form factor of these. Being able to have a totally modular system would be great. I wonder how 3 of these would compete with a top tier 212 by Berg for instance ?

I have an ex112-8, it's a nice cab and sounds good up to medium volume. In my experience it flattens out after that, which isn't a bad thing for the medium volume gigs I use it on.

The plan was to use it as both a stand alone with a head and as an extension with a GK mb150s. It didn't work out though, because they were different efficiencies and timbres.

It's a useful cab, but it's on the block. 3 times okay is still okay.
