Double Bass Eden for an EUB amp?

Any of you play your upright (electric or acoustic) thru an eden? I'm looking at a WT-400 and one of the d112xlt cabs for mine (NS design), but I'm not sure. I see alot of posts about GK's and Markbass rigs, but I can get this one for a pretty good deal, and wanted to get some opinions from the experts... I just got this bass, so this is all pretty new territory for me (primarily an electric bass player).
Thanks!

Are you looking at getting the Eden so that you can also use it for the EUB or are you looking at it to get for your EUB?

What kind of EUB do you have?

It's main purpose is for the EUB, which is an NS design cr-5, but it would be nice to be able to be used for the electric bass as well, for smaller gigs. So all that to say, I'm mainly interested in finding a good amp for the upright... I like the eden sound for electric, not sure how it would translate to upright though (as I haven't played though it yet), it seems to have a very flexible eq section in it.
Thanks for your time!

What kind of sound are you going for? I used an Eden CXC-400 210 with my acoustic double bass with a bass max, and I thought the tone was too colored and "electric" to replicate a traditional DB tone. I needed a pre-amp for impedance matching for a piezo as well. The thing sounded totally sweet with my p-bass, though, and if you going for a really modern sound you might like it.

Realizing that I'm not playing a traditional acoustic bass, I would still like the sound to be as traditional sounding as I can get it w/ the NS. What I'm playing will be more bluegrass, folk music, so modern is not exactly what I'm looking for. Once again, this a new path for me, so any comments are accepted, but know that I am sticking w/ the NS, I'm happy w/ the bass, just trying to get an amp that fits the bass and the style.

This may or may not relate, but I had a CXC-110(WT-330+1x10 combo)& LOVED what it did for my DB, moreso than any other amp I'd played. I also very much liked the CXC for slab. This was not so much the case when for various reasons I went to a WT-400+Bag End 1x15. My tastes for DB lean toward *electric* as opposed to *my bass only louder* though, so take it for what it's worth.

Its really your call. Perhaps the Eden "coloration" will work well for your application.

FWIW-

When I had an Ergo EUB, I tended to like the tone best out of electric amps as opposed to "neutral" sounding acoustic amps. I'm not sure the same can be said for your NS, but I found my "stick" to be a lot less finicky then an Acoustic DB. Never tried it with the Eden though, and they have both since been sold. Good luck!
