Eden Recone

I creased my Eden D115XLT Wednesday night. I'd like to get it reconed. I called Eden and they said to ship it to Illinois. I'd like to get this done some place that is closer so I don't have to deal with (and pay for) packing and shipping.

I live in the Danbury, CT area. Does anyone have any recommendations of where I could bring the speaker to get it reconed??

Thanks!

I could be wrong, but as I understand it, Eden manufactures their own drivers. I think that in that case there is no recourse, but to send it to Eden. I doubt other places could get a kit to fit them, except through Eden.

that's the rub...eden is _not_ yet set up to recone and may not be for a while...they have two places that they've contracted out to do it, one being accutrack recording and sound in illinois, the place eden(well, us music corp) referred me (and huskies, now) too...painful, man

recone kits are available for the 115 xlt speaker so, any reputable shop should be able to recone it for you.

the kit costs $18 so..that'll give you an idea of deal you are or are not getting.

I'm still waiting on the recones to be done (Mesa cab w/ Eden speaks). I bought the cab cheap from C-list, but instead of one blown speaker, there were three. The damage ends up being around $200 for the 3 of them. Cheaper than getting new drivers, but the cab wasn't such a deal. I'll let you know how they sound when I pick them up.
