Eden wt800a with mixed ohm cabinets in stereo mode?

Hi all,

De-lurking here to ask those who know more than me. Couldn't find the answer in searching previous posts so I'm hoping you all can help out.

I have an eden wt800a and have been running all 8 ohm cabs in stereo mode. An avatar 212 out of one side and an avatar 210 out of the other. It's a great mix but I learned I can't run the 8obm cabinets together to get 4ohms. That's how I blew up my amp in the past.

I recently scored an avatar 410 4ohm can which sounds fantastic. My question is:

Is it ok to run the 212 out of one side and the 4ohm cab out of the other side without causing any damage?

The original WT-800(A) is rated for 4Ω per channel, 8Ω bridged. As long as each cabinet is 4Ω or greater, you can run whatever you like on each side. The channel with the 4Ω load might be a little louder or run hotter; however, that can be adjusted with the balance control.

The original WT-800 is not rated for 2Ω loads or 4Ω bridged.

thank you @12bass, this is what i was hoping for. i'm definitely not going to run two 4ohm cabs together with this amp. eventually i'm hoping to score another 4ohm cabinet and stick to stereo mode.
