Eden WT800C overheating

Hey guys and gals, I have an Eden WT800C and I noticed that it gets crazy hot. It is a 2 space rack unit but I keep it in a 3 space rack unit. When I play, I notice that a great deal of heat surrounds the unit. Its so bad that I keep a spare amp (Epifani UL501) nearby and on standby for the sole purpose of using when the Eden overheats.

My guess is that air just doesn't circulate well enough or at all for the fans. I am considering keeping a small fan behind the amp so just let air flow. My other idea is to just take the unit out of the rack case so there is nothing that prevents air flow.

Does anybody else have this problem?

+1 to Chefs comment about the stock fan working. I always installed an external 120V muffin fan to my rack cases to keep the electronics cool. Heat is your enemy. The cooler, the better.

Also, there was a factory recommended mod to reverse the fan direction on some wt800's so the air was blowing out of the fan and sucking fresh from the vents. I guess the old fan direction was to blow cool air in tw unit at the fan and vent heat out the side vents.

I am with chef..i actually had this problem with this same amp and it turned out to be one of the wires was too close to the fan not allowing it to spin..once I pulled it away and ziptied it, no more heat issues inside or out of rack case
