Eden WTDI transformer picks up line noise

The WTDI is a great little preamp (even if it's a one trick pony, it's a great trick) but the 15 volt 400 miliamp center positive tranformer is a weirdo and is picking up line noise when my wife sews (I think it's the iron being plugged in). She sews a lot, is a published quilter, so I'm often playing while she's sewing, so it's a problem.

I'm running the Eden in the loop of my Traynor SB500H or as a preamp into a power amp or into my AKAI interface and using it through monitors. The high pitched squeel happens in all cases, but it seems only when the iron is plugged in.

Are there any better wall warts I can get or is there another solution? Help me out!

Hm, that's a tough one. There are lots of other power supplies out there, but 15V / 400 mA is uncommon. What I'd try is combing through ebay for an actual transformer (not switch mode) wall wart that meets those specs, and soldering the right barrel plug onto it.
