Eden WTP600 Plethora X5 4 cable method

Hi All,

I have not received the TC Plethora X5 yet, and I barely wrapped my head around this modified 4 cable method recently. I'm pretty happy with my current tone & I don't really have the need to put any of the Plethora effects in front of the amp, with a few exceptions, but after doing some research I think this setup could be the most flexible.

Corvette-->Tuner/Volume-->DG Compressor-->DG Booster-->DG Alpha Omega--> Plethora X5 Mono Input-->X5 Effect loop Send-->Eden Input-->Eden Effects loop Send-->X5 Effects loop Return -->X5 Mono Output-->Eden Effect loop Return.

I'm fairly confident the amp won't blow up until this point, I'm just curious to know if I could connect the X5 stereo inputs and outputs to the Edens Stereo Loop (In Yellow) would it work? could I separate my cabinets and get some cool delay effects or something? is it worth it?

I also love the idea of splitting my signal and having just one of my cabinets dry all the time. but I think I'm missing a pedal for that.

any suggestions/opinions/Thanks!

I really don't see the point of all the complexity. The WTP600 is a mono output amplifier, so what's to be gained from connecting stereo effects? The WTP900 is a stereo output amp and can make use of stereo effects where the WTP600 cannot. I don't know why they added it if it can't be used.

I also think you will be confronted with signal loops as you have the signal entering and exiting both the X5 and the WTP600 at least twice.

It looks like you're planning on using an Ernie Ball VPJR for tuner/volume. You might consider using an expression pedal instead of a volume and program it's use in the X5. You could also run your DG pedals through the VPJR effects loop before sending it to the X5. If not, I'd put your DG stuff in the Insert Send/Return and program it to be first in chain in the X5. All these suggestions are to simplify routing and avoid signal loops in the mono domain.

Summary suggestions:
1. Bass to VPJR input, run DG array through the VPJR's Send FX/Receive FX, send output from VPJR to X5 input.
2. Bass to VPJR input, VPJR output to X5 input. X5 Insert Send to DG array, DG array to X5 Insert Return.
3. Bass to X5 input, use expression pedal programmed to be volume. X5 Insert Send to DG array, DG array to X5 Insert Return.

mmh yea all of that makes sense I did not know the WTP600 wasn't stereo effects,& I never considered putting anything in the VPJR loop but ill definitely try it, Thanks!
