Effects Chain Help: Boost/EQ-ing

Hi guys. I've got a pretty solid pedalboard together, but am finding that my signal decays a fair amount.

My chain goes:
Boss T3 > EBS Octabass > Barge Concepts VBF > Dunlop Bass Wah > Digitech Bass Chorus > Digitech Turbo Flange
- The VBF loops > Boss ODB3 > Boss GEB7 -

I use them all and love the effects I get out with how I've set them, so don't really wanna ditch any pedals but would like a little less decay.

I've tried another GEB on the end to volume boost and EQ my frequencies which I'd stick with if I had to, but it doesn't quite do it.

Wondering if there's any other options for me.

have you considered running the Chorus, Flange and Octabass through your Amps Effect loop, might help a bit.

but other than that I shall let others that know more than I answer properly.

When does the signal decay seem to be at its worst? What pedals are on and off?

No one particulr pedal makes enough difference for me to be bothered. And any that does has levels to adjust any volume loss.

I suppose my issue is that my tone from bass > amp is much nicer than bass > pedals > amp. And I'd like to recover some of that original tone back
Not sure if that is decay, my terminology might be wrong.

You might be running into the problem of TOO MANY buffered pedals.

Can you describe what about the tone is changed? Is the the lows? The highs? Does it seem muffled, like a blanket thrown of it?

I'd say only my lows are muffled. Struggling to describe the difference... It just goes from sounding like me to having a bland characterless tone.

If it is a perception of lost lows, you aren't going to get them back with the EQ pedal at the end. If you are losing lows along the way, boosting the remaining lows by the end of the chain might just be mud.

If I read your listing correctly, the wah/flange/chorus in a bypass loop.

Just for grins and giggle, try placing the GEB in front of the wah and boost the low a few db, but not too much, +3 or so.

No. I bypass loop a Boss EQ and overdrive, so that I can blend my dirt/clean. The Wah/flange/chorus sit at the end of my chain. But I'll stick one in before my wah then, subtle low boost, and see if that helps.
