Effects not coming through fully on all strings

Hello TB'ers I'm havin a bit of trouble with my pedal board. Particularly my phaser and chorus. Essentially when I've got them on, they are showcased pretty fully on the d and g strings, but the low E (and to a much lesser extent the A) sound much less affected by the pedals. To my knowledge the Bad Stone and Mini Corona would be alright woth bass frequencies, and maybe I'm missing something.

Ideas? Or am I an idiot that bought guitar particular pedals and trying to use them on bass

I dont have any recording equipment, but I've got the rate knob on the bad stone at about 2 o'clock and the feedback knob sitting at about 3 o'clock. It sounds great and full on those higher pitched strings, but just sort of wimpy and anemic otherwise.

The bass I'm using is a 2011 am standard jazz with aguilar db 112's and aguilar ag500sc

i was thinking of the same thing as Dave W, thats why if you can record it, it might be better for us to judge.
Just a phone audio recording is fine

Also the problem of effects sounding stronger or weaker on different frequencies is not what people usually mean when they talk about how a pedal handles the low end. Usually they mean whether the lows are actually cut off altogether, or are weaker--for the whole signal, not just the effect.

Also, what bass are you using? A lot of effects pick up better on more trebly frequencies. I remember an interview with, I think it was Juan Alderete, where he basically said that he uses jazz basses because they work with his effects better. Not to enrage all the P bass fanboys, but more zing than thump in the signal can help if it's an effect tone you're looking for.

Get a flanger or phaser made for bass that allows you to mix in the dry signal. Arion makes a cheap bass flanger that does this. You can get separate pedals just for this purpose as well.

Mixing in the clean bass signal would make the effect signal sound even weaker.
