Alright, so I will be playing some Tool songs at a small gig soon- I used to have a very complex setup that I could use to get a pretty good Tool bass tone.
Alas, times became tough and I sold almost all of it... thankfully, I kept my Boss BF2 bass flanger. The only other pedals I have are a Behringer BDI21 DI box, a Boss Bass Equalizer, and a Donner digital delay, along with the aforementioned Boss BF2 of course.. all that being said, I know that I won't nearly be able to nail down his tone, but given these effects, what general things should I be trying to achieve in order to replicate it somewhat? I used to have the Tech 21 Sansamp bass driver and I found pretty perfect settings for Tool on that, but now I have the BDI21 in its place because its a cheaper option,and I forget what my old settings on the Sansamp looked like.. thanks for the help in advance, guys!
