EH Small stone = Squealing synth! HELP!!!!

Hey guys,
I picked up a One-spot to power some of my pedals. It works great for my bassbawls, BOSS pedals and even my ROSS compressor. My Small stone is having BIG problems with it though. I took out the battery and used the included 1/8" plug to power it and I got this NASTY loud squeal when I engaged the pedal. So, I used the 9v battery clip attachment instead and got the same problem. The one-spot puts out 9v so I'm not sure why that'd still happen. Any suggestions?
It's loud to the point where it's probably blow my amp if I was at a show. Kinda sound like a police siren depending on how fast the trim knob is set.

the 1spot works for the small stone. regardless of if its the regular or the nano, the 1spot has adapters if its not the regular ol 9v boss power. it might just be the pedal, or some other crazyness, but i highly doubt its the 1spot. those things are great. as is the small stone

Yeah, I doubt it's the One-spot since it works fine in my Bassbawls (both of which are 9v). Any clue of what could be wrong with te pedal. I'll open 'er up tonight to see if something is obviously wrong with the wiring. It's from the 70's and has seen better days.
