EHX DELUXE Bass Big Muff Pi 2

Hey everybody, can you all stop posting new distortions? I can't afford them all, and would appreciate it if you would stop taunting me with things that I need but can't have.
Anyway...
The first tone reminds me a lot of Cliff Burton, but with more high end and clarity.
The high and low pass filters do seem to provide a good amount of tonal variation, but I feel like there are better ways to get that. The gate seems like a complete waste of a knob.

The regular version is already a lot "more", so to speak. Ima still check this thing out.
Why would I want a DI out on my fuzz pedal? Or is there something I’m missing?
If you're in the studio going direct but want this pedal it could be useful.
Can't really think of anything else. It might be an empty corporate "value add," but EHX does usually give off an overly corporate vibe.

I have the smaller one and diggit.
The DI, etc. is explained at the link - the XLR is effected and so can be sent to the PA. There's also a DI output that is un-effected that could do the same (mebbe using a outboard for balance) or be used to split the clean to another amp, as well as the standard, effected out. It's almost more kinda a guitar thing for when you wanna, say, do wet/dry or stereo*.
I use my smaller Pi2 on guitar.
Gotta add, I love the latching footswitches. I jammed on Sunday and had a EQD Tentacle on my board (guitar) and it was fun using it to emphasize single notes on lead and phrases on rhythm.

I have a Blumes and their Flexi Loops switcher which has two loops that use those switches and they are incredibly performative. I have 1 loop with my analog synth effects (octaver ->Blumes (or some fuzz) ->Envelope Filter) and then the other loop going to any digital effects I'm using which right now is primarily an HX Stomp. Putting it in a loop allows me to leave it in non-bypassed mode (sounds best imo) and keep it completely out of my signal chain most of the time when not needed. It's great with those switches when I want to emphasize the last note on a big song with whatever I want, plus being able to pull crazy sounds out instantly with a push is incredibly fun though it can make the people I'm playing with jump a bit since I know how to make wild sounds coming from guitar originally. /evilgrin
Really digging performative pedal designs, Beetronics is hitting it outta the park with their design ethos.
