Just discovered this after getting mine today, the tone knob is actually active, bass boost/treble cut to the left, treble boost/bass cut to the right. It's not totally clear unless you use the pedal in person or read the manual. Is this a thing on the original russian muffs or is this specific to the reissue? In any case it adds a lot more functionality and range to the pedal IMO

Pretty sure that's how Muffs work.

Usually why everyone has the tone control set somewhere between 10:00 and 3:00... settings beyond that are too extreme to be useful to most people.

I have a deluxe bass big muff which has a regular tone knob. Maybe its specific to the deluxe?
