I checked out the guitar clips from NAMM, but they're very lo-fi and quiet recordings, so can't tell much. Are there any other recordings about that I've missed?
Still no recordings of it on bass that I know of.

wow it sounds good, but other than for ambient sort of stuff, im not sure what the hell i would use it for - some cool pitch shifting/modulation tones i guess. probably not gonna bother with it though

yes, that's the same clip I heard and it's enough for me to want to find out more too and to try one out on bass.
