EHX RING THING

For
The
Mother of all
Freaking
Wobblers

Srsly, this pedal is so much more than a "ring mod".
Harmonizer, Pitch Shifter, Filter, Randomizer...

The sub-octave with a little 'filter motion' applied is the perfect octave dropper for me

I WILL do clips later.
I want to learn it more and get my presets set first.
Thanks for being patient with me!
Thanks for the interest!

The Ring Thing tracks pitch fantastic. Its by far the best pitch shifter they have ever made.
I did a demo below that uses it before dirt as it always sounds more natural to my ears..
Bill

First off, you make the best demos around. All of your videos are entertaining and enlightening. Have you played with the ring thing on bass at all or just guitar? Also, is there any way for the ring thing to make the glitchy poor tracking sounds that the whammy family are known for when you play multiple notes, ala Bullet in the Head / My Iron Lung?

Programmable! That alone makes me want it. Ring mods and other crazy modulators are always terribly frustrating in terms of repeatability. That one amazingly godlike tone you got that one time may never be found again, least of all when an audience is listening. So the programmability of the RT is a major plus.

Thanks Dan T and faceinbass
well Just played the guitar through it but am sure the bass will work great.
I would love to hear the octave up with a bass through some distortion.

As for glitches its mighty clean.
To get glitch hit the ring mod side and really get out there!

Bill

PS I love this board.
Its so inspiring to see Bass players so into effects.
Its the coolest!

Bill, thanks for stopping by and sharing that demo..
one I have watched many times over the past two weeks.

The last setting/demo/riff is just beautiful. Thanks.

Does it track after dirt? I just read the review on www.ehx.com, and it seems like it works well after other effects. It seems like some of the effects would be better after dirt, but most tracking-based effects need a clean signal.

I would love to hear the octave up with a bass through some distortion.

Ok, let's do this.
fuzz > 2 octaves up > FUZZ
