EHX SuperEgo Synth Engine

:D

And that makes me happy.

And, I joke about not liking Boss. They are like the old IBM commercials. Their pedals are boring, but reliable, and no one ever got fired for buying Boss pedals. :)

... unless you do non-boring things with them!

I still like their tuners more then any other I've tried.

I also had the Bass Synth SYB-3, and loved it for years until it broke. Then, I came across the EHX Microsynth, so the SYB-3 didn't get replaced.

When this happens I think we all deserve a demo video. That chain sounds completely ridiculous (in a good way). I've been minimizing my pedals as of late but this thing is so damn tempting.

Maybe. We'll see if it sounds any good!

I'm nearly certain that the BEF Pro is what I've been looking for as of late.

I spent the day messing with the SuperEgo. That's what this thread's about, right? Here's how I've set it up so far:

Bass --> MicroSynth --> SuperEgo (with the output for the loop going to an EHX Hog --> EXH Enigma Qballs --> MXR Phaser 90) --> Bass Balls --> Snake Charmer Compressor --> Amp

It sounds better on guitar, honestly. However, it was fun to cut the effect's signal from the SuperEgo's loop and shift it an octave or two up. It may sound really cool to get a tremolo in that loop, too.

I'll try posting some sound clips up or something when I get a chance. Unfortunately, I've been working out of town, so I probably won't be able to do that any time soon.

lol. was about to throw an Eat Me out there, but i feel you. it is silly to only talk about something from HATE........ but....... i'm not bashing the pedal per se, i just hate the way the company does stuff and think that they're....... they're just bad people. maybe with good intentions, but still.

okay, not bad people. but definitely not musicians that have gigged with pedals. 'cause every time they make something that sounds like a good idea, i've put some time into it and it's like they released a 2/5ths done pedal. like they never had somebody actually PLAY the damn thing.

i hate their product so damn much.

the "We're The Guys That Throw As Much **** As Fits In Our Hands And Sees What Sticks" description of EHX is about the most apt i've ever heard.

Maybe I've just gotten lucky but my Pog, Holy Grail, Feeze, Steel Leather, and Muff have always been reliable great pedals. I'm a fan but if you have had a bad experience I can see why you'd dislike them. Can we at least agree the owner looks like a badass homeless dude?

guh. he scares me. he looks like the kind of guy you'd wake up and find him staring at you, drinking a glass of milk, bundled up in a Snuggie whispering, "heyyy....... did you know you talk in your sleeeeeeeeep?".

GUH.
