EKO new MM300 bass

I just bought a cheap bass for being a collector, I didn't want to carry expensive gear into some gigs and for a 230 bucks bass I expected a Squier-like sound... What a surprise. Straight out of the box, it was very well setted. Looks like a Music Man bass but the single Pick Up is a double passive single coil housed into a hambucker . Actually you have two separate volumes for each coil and a tone. As simple as that. Huge sound, great accuracy, perfect pitch and tune. I thought I was lucky until a friend of mine just ordered one on Amazon ad it was exactly like mine. I strongly recommend those basses. Few days after I had a PRS Kingfisher whose pickups are really a poopie. And it cost 5 times.
These basses are chinese made but I have learned that Italian Eko brand, a major in the 60s, have just be revamped bu a famour italian pro sessionman, Massimo Varini and a luthier-guru, Roberto Fontanot, who sends half a year in China for a die-hard quality control over the production and personally choose the woods. Light as a feather, this bass is on my top 10 ever. Unbeatable for price/quality rate.
