Elbow Problem

Hi all,

I recently took up the bass again after putting it down for a number of years. Now that I've started practicing again, my picking arm (right) elbow has started hurting a lot. I had an ulnar nerve injury on my left elbow a few years ago, unrelated to playing, and this pain seems to be in the same spot.

I use two fingers to pluck, and because I have longer arms, the position of my arm may be a little extreme. I use a jazz bass, and usually rest my thumb on the neck pickup. Anyone have any info on this? Thanks!

That would be a good thing to try!

Check with a qualified person in the medical field to see if a tennis elbow strap might help.
