I did a stupid thing and let the smoke out of a discontinued, non-warranty effects pedal. Per the OEM, replacing the r42 resistor replaced near the power supply will return the pedal to operation: "Any local electronics tech should be able to swap this for you."
Anyone have experience finding this type of repair technician?
When I consult the Goog, I see some electronics technicians that specialize in HD TVs. I also see some folk specializing in amplifier repair. Computer repair is another specialty.
Which of these specialists is most likely doing effect pedal repairs?
Does someone in Austin have a local a shop they recommend?
Thanks in advance.
