Thought this was pretty cool. I was listening without actively watching, saw a cool-looking bass out of the corner of my eye and whaddayaknow! I wonder if the other kids up there are internet-known as well?

That drummer was killing it! I’m surprised Yoyoka wasn’t brought in.
The guitarist playing the Les Paul is Saxon ( I think his last name is Weiss) I’ve seen him on a couple of videos on FB, he’s really good, can play Jazz, Rock, pretty much anything, it’s so weird that when I saw him I was thinking someone needs to hook him up with Ellen and voila there they are .
Pretty cool seeing young musicians killing it in a professional setting on national TV. Awesome!
Pretty good band (if they were actually playing). They just need to find a decent singer.
Wish all those guys much future success. Real young musicians are still out there great to see this. KUDOS
Ellen's been in my FB and YT feeds for years. Glad to see her playing with someone, most of her stuff is recorded with session musicians or solo. I don't know if she'll ever be the female prodigy, but I do think we'll see lots of her work over the following years.
No love for Phoebe? She's a great singer and songwriter. Between having nearly 7 billion stream on Spotify alone, and over 13 million monthly listeners, and that doesn't even include her work in the band boygenius... Well... We should all wish to be only good enough to face derision from random bass players on the internet
I think Phoebe has a very interesting voice, but she's not a great singer (I think Julien and Lucy are both better). She sounded pretty rough here, but I thought she was excellent in her "acoustic" performance the following night.No love for Phoebe? She's a great singer and songwriter. Agree with the former, disagree with the latter. Maybe not everyone’s cup of tea and not someone with a mega big voice, but definitely a skilled singer.
How many iconic rock legends were "not great singers"? Tons. Absolutely tons. It doesn't matter if you're a virtuoso singer, it matters that you can use your instrument effectively, which she obviously can. And I'd say Phoebe is a great singer, personally, anyway.
I'm glad to see young musicians making music, especially young women. I hope we continue to elevate their work and their voices.

Love the spotlight on the younger generation of musicians in this Phoebe Bridgers performance. And I agree that the drummer clearly has rock star potential. Hair flying and just having the best time ever playing drums.
The high school I work at has strong art and music programs, and I love seeing some students with guitar-filled gig bags for their musicianship-guitar classes and such. And one of the music teachers was telling me that while she was a little sad that her first chair bassist (a badass girl) graduated, a freshman girl came in last year and is now slaying the bass. (And, not gonna lie, I love that the kid's slaying on a bass I donated to the department).

The kid on 12-string ending the song and immediately flinging their pick into the audience like a true rock star… no notes. 
sorry, this is kind of a hot button issue for me because I feel like these sorts of critiques get levied at women disproportionately, but I don't think that was the case for your post, apologiesI agree. Ah I got it. There's a whole host of highly regarded male singers that I also like and would judge to be not great singers. Looking at you Robert Plant, but best not to open that can of worms
