That's the absolute truth. I didn't think George Furlanetto went 8-strings until I saw one on a Japanese site... the first one built.

Is it just me, or does that veneer line over the arm contour seem to throw the shape off somewhat? And that really dark neck-through looks a little weird to me... apart from that, SMOKING bass! I would love to get my hands on one like it.

I agree. It'd be nice if they headstock was sleeker and had straight string pull on all the strings. I feel this way about a lot of basses though.

Elrick headstocks are pretty similar to Fodera ones.

I used to hate them when I saw them in photos. In person they're much, much better, and their small but good design help avoid neckdive.

great looking bass. the wenge is amazing. i can't complain about my wenge neck, but sometimes i wish it was that dark chocolate colour.

i've had a few bass players doubletake my Els for Foderas. At first I wasn't crazy about the paddle, but they really grow on you. And I wasn't a fan of angled back headstocks either, but that grew on me also. In my opinion, Elricks are designed for maximum function through simplicity. I found that everything "fit" in all the right places. There is no "waste" in his basses.
