Just received this from Dan Lenard at Luthiers Access Group, couldn't be happier with both the bass and Dan's service. Both are highly recommended. It looks brand new.

Nice, I like the extra distance the B string has on that headstock.

Me too. Now if I can just find a deal on a hole in the head I'm set;)

Actually my only fretted Elrick was the E-vo 4.

Bartolini NTMB 3 band. Here's the description from the website:

Set neck design, Ash body with Spalted Maple top and matching headstock veneer. The 35” scale 3 piece Maple neck has a Wenge fretboard.
Bartolini pickups ( X Series ? ) and NTMB 3 band preamp. I do like this preamp.
    Hipshot Ultralight tuners and bridge.

What is the benefit of having extra distance above the nut on the B string?

  12. Congrats Brad!!

I was looking at that bass too, but glad it went to a good home. :D

Really, I would be interested in a New Jazz 5! If anyone has one for sale or knows someone selling one, let me know. (I know, Tumbao just got rid of his, Bass Emporium just sold one, and LowDownSound has one for sale) Next!!

I was checking out the NJS at Lowdown, too. I have a custom semihollow NJS fretless 5 and I'd love to have a fretted one. Even though I don't need 24 frets I like the deeper cutaway on that model.

And thanks to everyone:D. I think a family pic would be pretty ridiculous.

Beats me. I know what I've heard but I can't say it makes much of a difference.

I played that bass at Dan's "shop" and loved it! The action was a little high, though that's easily adjusted.

I remember Dan was BLOWN AWAY with how light it was! So was I...;)

    Enjoy!:D
