I played that bass at Dan's "shop" and loved it! The action was a little high, though that's easily adjusted.

I remember Dan was BLOWN AWAY with how light it was! So was I...

Just about every Elrick I've come across has been very light.

Nice score Brad! I think I inquired about that very same bass when it was available from the seller. It has a Wenge board, right? If so, that's the one. I'll say it again, a used Elrick is the best buy on the market right now. I would buy another one in a heartbeat!

Brad the Platinum 6 is also a great bass.I got the chance to try one at bass central and was "shocked" on how much it sounded like and MTD

I agree. I still don't understand it. My Elricks are on par with anything I've ever played.

I'm currently looking for one with a Ash or Mahogany body, Wenge neck and board, Maple Burl top, 5 string. I let one slip not too long ago and I kicking myself because I haven't seen any since.

I have a custom semihollow NJS fretless 5 and I'd love to have a fretted one. I think a family pic would be pretty ridiculous.

Sure. I need to take a more recent family pic, there's been a few changes. Here are the other three Elricks (bad pic) and a back shot of the Custom NJS. AFAIK it's the only set neck or semi hollow NJS Rob has built.

I have been an Elrick fan for a while and my main axe is an origional Platinum Standard. Like you, I couldn't be happier, great sound, great looks and bullet proof.
