So after several threads about this here on TB and elsewhere, it appears this is finally resolved, and the neck was not twisted after all!!!
I’m glad this has come to a happy conclusion. I saw the response from Bass Spotlight on Facebook (below) that the neck just needed to be properly adjusted, since it is a reverse truss rod. First class customer service from a great guy, Randy at Bass Spotlight.
By the way, adjusting the reverse truss rod properly was suggested a couple of times here on TB by folks, who actually own Maruszczyk basses
