eMac okay for recording?

Is there any reason an eMac would be undesireable for recording? I am considering getting one and probably ProTools with an MBox or some other interface. I don't plan to do extensive editing, just the basics for getting down some guitar/bass/vocal tracks. Any caveats with the eMac, or should I go for it?

Only possible caveat: the fan is pretty noisy.

Other than that it will work fine. Get as much RAM as you can afford.

Thanks for the quick response Brian! I heard the fan problem was fixed (according to user reviews on cnet.com) so hopefully it won't be too bad...

-you can always buy a different fan if it is noisy, easy to install and cheap.
