Implemented EMAIL NOTIFICATIONS: Include transcript of new posts

I cleared the Chrome defaults, so that when I opened up the URL, it would allow me to select the default app---and I only got Chrome and the system browser as options, no Talkbass. So I think that Talkbass does not recognize the new URL format, and it's the app that needs to be updated.

When I Google "android open url with app" I get a bunch of developer websites about "intents" that can be set when coding apps. Like this. I cannot find any information on how I can do this as an end user on an unrooted phone.

So I really think the problem must be with the app, that it needs to be updated to reflect the new URLs. I'm surprised no one else has complained about this. I can't imagine I'm missing something obvious, but if I'm missing something non-obvious I would be happy to hear it.

Ahh, I see. Ok, let me look into this. Thanks for troubleshooting this.

I got a Talkbass App update within the last few days, but the e-mail linking to the app was not fixed. Has there been any progress on this?

I've finished testing with admins and mods and have just enabled full message text for all SUPPORTING MEMBERS and GOLD SUPPORTING MEMBERS. ;)

I'd very much prefer not see the contents of a post in notification emails. It keeps me from coming to the site to check threads and I loose track of them.
I know you're probably still tweaking it but are there any plans to make it an on/off option?

There was a time several years ago when if you'd told me I'd be thanking you for doing a great job I'd have been incredulous.
Thanks for listening and working so hard on the site, you're knockin' it outta the park.

Y'know what I really hate about this? When I hit send what I post is out there and out of my control to edit. If I decide I need to correct spelling or update a fact or just change wording so as not be a confrontational jerk I can't really do that because everyone who's subscribed to the thread or the forum has the email. Unless ultimately I can not only turn off seeing other peoples posts in the notification but also turn off my posts going out I will be drastically curtailing my activity. It's kind of a deal beaker......oh wait I meant deal breaker.

Considering how many grammar and spelling mistakes I make that's a lot of trouble to go to and it doesn't remove the original fubar message from anyone's computer. And I'm getting much better at not being over the top insulting to people but I do occasionally say something I regret and make an immediate edit. Now there's no way of undoing that.

Hey never mind all that stuff I just said about not liking this. I've discovered that I can say something super snarly that would at least get a warning if not a ban and then "think better of it", delete it but still get the message out there. Awesome.

@Jeff Bonny keep in mind that a complete post edit history and deleted posts are available to moderators ;)
