I might be wrong, but if I remember correctly you can't really use active pups with the Audere pre.
If I were to go passive ,what pups and pre would you guys recommend? Looking for ideas for this jazz 5.
I have a Squier Jazz Deluxe 5 string with Lindy Fralin pups and an Audere Z-mode that I just converted into a fretless and it is amazing....

You can run active pups with the classic. Have one in my thumb w/ MEC pups. I love it.
You do have to specific when you order to get what you need to run 'em, I think it was a couple bucks up charge

Like to song. Tone sounds good. Hard to tell but I talked to Dave and decided to order one v/v, himid/lwmid, bass/treble. We'll see?
I’m looking forward to replacing my BQC with Audere 4-band also. Do have any opinion on the result/ test you did?
Yes I did. Whew! It’s been a while. FWIR, the combination didn’t work for me. Kept the preamp and went with Nordstrom’s pickups. Killer combination
