EMG GZR Sunk Pole Piece

I purchased the kit from the classifieds a couple months ago and just got around to installing.
They sound great!
I noticed the G side pole piece is a bit sunken. The G has great volume, no issues.
I was just wondering if I should be concerned. At first I thought it might affect the string volume but it doesn’t. Thanks.

Yes. I used the foam that came in the package and taped it to the cavity floor so it wouldn’t shift.
I didn’t notice the pole piece until everything was put together. I was thinking of disassembling everything and looking under the pup but it sounds so good right now.
All looked good and sealed when I was plugging everything in.

I was looking at close up photos on the for sale thread and noticed that the pole piece is the same. I’m sure it will be fine. Seller said they worked perfectly and I definitely agree. Carry on…

These are epoxied so you can't raise/lower the pole pieces. I'd honestly return them, it's a defect, but more for my OCD than the possible tonal impact. Also, I love how smooth those are under my fingers so a hole would definitely bother me when playing over them.

I purchased used so can’t return but I have an email in to EMG to see what they say…they probably can’t do much since they were purchased used. I’m just curious what they think.

Try stick a neodymium round magnet piece which has same diameter and thickness that can flushes to the cover.

I can't guarantee, you need to figure it out.
