EMG question

I have a bass with p pickup and a musicman humbucker. I want to replace those with EMG pickups. I have looked at the site of repective pickups and it says that they come with EMG's exclusive Quik-Connect ª cable, prewired solid shaft volume / tone control set, output jack, battery clip set, adjustment screws. I would like to have volume volume tone controls. Do ineed to purchase extra controls to have wire it like that? (it already comes with prewired controls) Grateful for answers :)

Right. You'll only be able to run them in passive mode, but the controls you get with the EMG's should be enough. There will be wiring instructions in there for you to wire it up VVT. I do have to recommend going active with them, although if it's working for you passive, nothing wrong with that, either.

I strongly recommend getting the ABCX blend control if you like running both pickups full on. Removes the insertion loss that can come with the EMG's
