EMG solderless Custom Wiring???

I' just got some new LJ Emgs for my yamaha bb404f and wanted to know if i could switch the wires around for a 2 tone 1 volume instead of 2 volume 1 tone??

any advice or other cool wiring would be appreciated,

Two tones wont work right, which is why it's not done that way. Both tones would work on both pickups when both pickup are on.

Since the EMGs wont hum, you might as well have two volumes so you can solo one with no hum.

I unwired the neck pick up and placed it in the bridge slot and noticed that the bridge pick up wont fit in the neck slot. The neck pick up also sounded fatter when in the bridge slot. Is this because only one pick up is being powered?

The two pickups are the same on the inside, and they both sound the same. The bridge pickup is longer so it wont fit.

When you have two pickups running at the same time the tone changes. That's why you want two volume controls.

Put the pickup where they belong and when you turn one down it will sound the same. Keep them adjusted pretty close to the strings.
