EMGs

I'm looking to up grade the pickups in my Ibanez GRS 200(the starter bass that was sold alone) This bass is when there were still passive. I wanted to know how are the EMG PJ Hz passive set? I was looking for a better low end reponse, puncher mid range and crisper highs. Any surggestions reccomended

+1 with the actives - I have a PJ set in one of my basses. The electronics are inside the pups themselves, so you just need to find room for the battery inside the control cavity and, as the supplied pots are (physically) tiny in comparison to normal ones, it shouldn't be a problem.

did more research.....

Those pots are tiny! Would I have a problem with the batter in the carvity? And whats the difference between the PJ-X and the PJ active? Besides 20 bucks... Also how hard would it be to change the output jack because thats the wrong kind of jack?

No my bass doesn't its the 2003 model when it was passive. The bass has 2 volumes and a tone knob
