Empress distortion pedal

I never said it couldn't work, just not for my tastes, plus I sold it so its long gone, I got it along with the empress compressor and that thing is amazing.
...

Anyways I should've went with the heavy, I can't afford it now so I'm gonna stick with what I got...if I gave it more time who knows, but I didnt

The overdrive could get close to my swell Bpro as far as touch sensitivity and character of the drive, but so could my hardwire cm2 which *I* much prefer(sounds more natural) .... the tone wasn't there for me, I don't know why exactly

the fuzz was pretty cool, but I liked the greystache better, and the distortion was too guitar like for me ( I spent days and days trying to get sounds out of it) where the heavy sounds just right for bass judging from demo's, but at this point in not gonna buy any more pedals and just work with what I got, good luck though!!

I was thinking about getting an empress heavy. but I'm also thinking of getting the multidrive. I like the metal distortion sounds that the heavy has provided. I also like the distortion channel on the multidrive. it has a smooth grinding sound. once I save some cash on buying one of these pedals, I will purchase them. until then, I will think about which of these empress pedals I would like to buy.

That's cool if the multidrive isn't the right distortion pedal for you. many people have different tastes in distortion sounds. I personally like my distortion smooth and heavy and the empress multidrive and the empress heavy are just what I was looking for. I am impressed with how it sounds on bass and I do plan on purchasing one of these pedals after I purchase a new bass.

If I have the cash for it, I probably would. at this moment, I can only afford one and I am leaning towards the empress heavy. I do like the metal distortion sounds that this pedal has provided. and from what I understand, the weight control on the heavy adds more lows to the distortion sound. looking forward to purchasing this pedal sometime soon. the multidrive would be my other choice definitely.
