Double Bass end-pin question

I was wondering if anyone has any advice on someone interested in trying a bent-end pin. I am looking for something that would push the bass into my body without making the bass as horizontal as many Rabbath style players like their basses. I've been happy with a straight end-pin but am playing 6-8 hours a day and am interested in doing anything i can to give my hands a break. Are there bassists using a bent end pin off to the side and front?

George Vance makes 25 dollar bent pins made to the players specs. You give him size and all. You can easily put the pin straight, or off to either side. I'm sure if you talk to him he could do it at less than the typical 44 degrees.
