i have the ehx bassballs and bass microsynth, both of which i love. i haven't heard the digitech pedal in action, but from my experience you can't beat that analog sound.

The BMS isn't an envelope filter.

You can use it this way since you can process clean tone straight through the filter, without added synth tones.

I have both the DOD FX25 and the BSW. My FX25 is a 90's model, the old green one with two knobs and I absolutely love it. I use both pedals on my main board and would be lost without either of them. I also have built 3 envelope patches in my Boss ME20B which is also on my main board. Yes I am what one may call an envelope filter junkie, but my favorite is the old FX25. I actually don't usually use the BSW as a true envelope filter, I use it for it's synth sounds. Good stuff.

Yeah I have the old FX25 and the FX25B the old one is miles better IME.
