I'm looking for a chewy, gummy, maybe even slow(?) filter like these sounds:

I realize they're pretty different, but both seem to have a sort of chewiness to the sound that I really dig.

The DMB cut was from Listener Supported, right?

Stefan was rocking an Eventide GTR4000 Ultra-Harmonizer through that era. The H9 pedal likely has the same sort of filter. Funny, though, it almost sounds like a fat phaser with a medium rate and not a filter.

    I'm thinking phaser, too.

Whatever it is, it seems envelope triggering is going on. The Keeley Bubbletron might be worth a look. It yields a very goopy envelope phaser, and many other rewards.
