Epic Fight: Mesa vs Bergantino!

Yesterday I did an experiment playing my Mesa WD800 through my Mesa Subway 215 cab, then I switched over to using my Bergantino NV610 cab instead; without changing any settings on my amp.

Both cabs sounded truly awesome, I LOVE them both but:

My Subway215 definitely had deeper lows, brighter mid's & high-end, and generally had more of a clear open-sounding tone. (I always keep my horn attenuator knob adjusted all the way down on this cab)

My (20-y/o) NV610 had a much thicker low-mid response, and did a better job of voicing the overdriven feel, tone & general rock & roll vibe that I have my amp set to produce; and it resulted in producing a huge smile on my face!

So Instead of hauling my Subway 215 to my bands rehearsals every week, I've curently decided to just use/leave my Berg NV610 at my bands studio, then just use my Subway 215 at my home studio & gigs.

What you heard as the difference between the cabs makes perfect sense to me. I only played an NV610 a couple times, but IMO it delivers the perfect sealed cab kind of vibe in every aspect with great fidelity. The SW215 is on the other hand one of the best examples I've seen of what can be done with multiple big driver vented cabs without sacrificing fidelity across all the frequencies.

My NV610 is the best cab I have ever played. It's all personal taste, but it hits in all the right places for me. Especially with a great tube head.

Just to throw a curve ball.... how about a Genz-Benz Streamliner or Shuttle amp with a Mesa Subway 215 cab or Bergantino HG410X cab? Anybody tried these combinations?
