Do you prefer the Shuttle/PS combo over the Shuttle/UL combo? I'm looking at new cabs to go with my Shuttle, and I keep flip-flopping between these 2 Epi's and the Berg AE112s.

dang,

that's a really hard toss up.

i think the UL series is a bit more versatile since, its not as voiced as the PS. i tweak alot with my EQ, so the more neutral UL is easier to deal with.

and yet, the PS and shuttle combo is a sweet match. that laid back tubey feel of the shuttle goes great w/ the thick pumpin' lower mids / lows of the PS.

The not named dealer sent me the wrong ohmage cab. I needed an 8 ohm PS210 and they sent me a 4 ohm one. Won't work with my PS115 and Shuttle 6.0. Then they say they cannot send someone to the warehouse and see if they have an 8 ohm one in stock. I am sending it back but I am wondering if anyone has an 8 ohm PS210 they wanna trade?

I'm surprised they offer both 4 and 8ohm versions of that cab. I would have guessed 8ohm only (that's usually the case when they don't give you an option on sites like Musician's Friend, etc.). You might want to call Nick on Monday and make sure it's just not marked incorrectly. It's interesting that they would offer a 4ohm version of a 210 in their lower end model, especially since the PS600's are 4ohm minimum.

Hope you get it straightened out.

+1

Of course the website doesn't say anything about it, but other comparable vendors, such as Berg, only offer their 210 in an 8 ohm, so it wouldn't surprise me to find out 8 ohm was it.

The shipper was ZZounds. When I placed the order I asked for an 8 ohm and the person on the phone said it was. I get the delivery yesterday and the marking on the box even says PS410: 4 ohm. I call and ask if they have the 8 ohm in stock and they say they have no way of checking. So then he offers me a Hartke hydrive 410 cab, that one is 8 ohms. I say I already have an Epifani PS115 why would I get a Hartke. So I just ask for a return because they will not send anyone to the warehouse to verify if they have one in 8 ohms.

Yeah, that's ridiculous. They better be paying for return shipping too.

Well I finally got everything resolved. I am sending the 4 ohm back to ZZounds and I took my business to the Perfect Bass. Real nice guys who I have dealt with before. I should be getting it by next week. They are really becoming the main place where I shop for my gear now.

I'm making a note of this. :scowl:

That's good to hear, man. If I shake my rig it, I just might be looking at getting a 210/115 thing going. I was thinking that before, but didn't work out that way.

Definitely be looking for the report. That should be a killer rig!

Thanks. I'm thinking that since I already bump up the lows and either bump low-mids or cut high-mids on my Shuttle, that the PS112 would be perfect. From what I've heard about the PS112, it already has thick low/low-mids and slightly attenuated high-mids. Sounds like the perfect match?

OK, so I get my UL410 Series 1 today, unpack it, plug it in and......nothing, try a different input and nothing (speakons). Try 1/4" and nothing. Try my UL310 we both thru the same amp it is there. Any ideas? TBer said it was wroking fine when shipped. No noticeable damage at all to the box and paked well. Watched Fedex bring it in...No problems there. Any Ideas. Did the battery test and nothing maybe a slight bit out of the tweeter. Wire on the input plate maybe?

Solved my own problem :D. The leads from the input plate were missing from the top right speaker as viewed from the rear. So if I am correct, only the top left speaker (from the back) has one set of leads. The wire connector was loose and broke so I need to replace that.
