It's been a while, but I'm pretty sure my old T 210 (diagonal model) was about 60 pounds, my second generation T310 was around 73 pounds, and the 410 was just under 100 pounds. The older T's and NYC's were, for all practical purposes, the same cab.

These cabs were on the heavy side, even for traditional ceramic loaded cabs.

I can slap, tap, and play fingerstyle and still get some punch from that cab. The tweeter is sweet sounding also so that helps the equation. One of the best 15's I have ever played and after playing 12's I swore never to go back to 15's. This cab paired with the PS210 is the perfect stack for deep bottom and clean punchy tone. The 210 goes deep but not as deep and pure as the 115. For a blues or jazz gig where you will not be doing a lot of slapping or need tons of hi-end sizzle then the 115 is where it is at. For amplification I use a GB Shuttle 6.0 and it kills IMHO.

oddly,

nick likes putting the 115 ontop of the 2x10. something about putting the boomier 15 ontop to lessen the floor coupling.

I'd be buying new almost definately, the used market here is made up of cheaper gear. Its useful when you first start out, you can build a good loud rig for AU$500 but no-one ever sells their boutique gear.

Hey Epi Gurus...

What are the tonal differences between the UL310 and UL115? I currently own the UL115, but I was thinking the UL310 would be louder and a perfect one cab solution. My amp is an LMII.

I really like my UL115 so if there is a huge tonal difference I'll probably just keep my UL115.

I run an original (not UL) 2x10 and a 4x10 (for bigger gigs) with my Ashdown ABM 400.

Question for the "club" : has anyone here done a side-by-side with the UL vs the original heavyweight cabs? Just curious - I'm not about to sell my cabs just to save some effort... but I'm curious.

I keep forgettin' to apply for membership in this club. :hiding:

I have an Epifani PS-112 that get's the bulk of my gigging work if I only need one cab. For bigger jobs I tend to pair it with an Avatar 2X10 Neo cab, and it gets plenty loud enough even outdoors.

Definitely Joe. IMHO, the PS-112 is an overlooked cab. I've had mine since they first hit and love it.

"Sign Me Up"! :D

My new favorite rig.............Two UL110 cabinets and a Markbass LMK II '08 LE Head. I love this set-up! Two 22 lb cabinets, a 5 lb head, and a 9 lb Bass. Now that's easy to move!:smug:

The sound is HUGE, hangs right with my 2 x 210 rig! I have big Ampeg and Fender set-ups too, but there is something about a "pint sized" rig that puts out 10 gallons of sound!:cool:

I just pulled the trigger on an Epifani PS 112 at Music123 for $339.15 with FREE SHIPPING!!! :bassist::bassist:

I'm going to pair it with my GK MB500 and leave my Ashdown 4x10 at home for some of my gigs. My total rig weight will be about 40lbs! :cool:
