Epifani Club! I've seen the "light"!

IMHO, there's not a lot of amps that WON'T sound good with that cab, so I'd say if you're particularly interested in Mark Bass, you could do a lot worse. I don't have the S1, but my Mark Bass LMII and F1 both sound great through my S2.

Many amps would sound good with this cabinet, I just fell in love with the LMK II though the Epifani stuff!:) I have not tried the UL 410 with my Markbass heads, but planning on adding that cabinet next...................

I notice most of you here are using Markbass amps with epifani cabs. Are they sounding so good together or was a time when everybody was buying those amps because was a "markbass fasion"?
I recently bought a epifani UL-410 (seria 1) and I am really trying to find a very good amp. Anyway your coments make me thing to makbass too...
have a great day!

for something clean, punchy, and where you can really appreciate the sounds of a great sounding bass, i love my good ol' Epifani head. just a gorgeous sound.

for the grittier, thicker pickstyle friendly stuff, i like the aguilar ag500 and the thunderfunk tfb550.

course, even for my rock stuff, i'm still all about the big fat, wall of punch you in the gut, yet clean and bold sounds of my epifani ul902. simply fantastic in the loudest of situations.

I would like buy for my epifani UL-410 a epifani UL-502, but you made me think of buying an markbass too... a MKII or F1? I would like buy the one is oposite in sound to UL-502 so I can have a variaty of sounds.
thanks

Get to a GC, and play them if you can...................Out of those two I prefer the LMK II sound (barely), but that does not mean you will!:eyebrow: I also like the two rack space size of the LMK II, but maybe I am old school!;)

I think not!.................:smug:

I have heard discussions about the Epifani product now being made in China. I think this has come about by the shipping boxes being labeled from China. I can assure everyone that the Epifani product is still from the USA, although the shipping boxes are not! As with many manufacturing jobs, companies are looking for ways to save money to keep costs down so they are "price competitive"................This situation is no different, Epifani has gone to importing boxes and brochures from China to keep costs down, but the product itself is currently made in the USA. The inside of your cabinet will verify this...................All products from China need to be labeled, in this case it is just the box.

Hope this answers any questions!:)

Didn't a TB'er call Epifani and confirm that the cabs are made in china?

EDIT: found the post: http://www.talkbass.com/forum/showpost.php?p=6511993&postcount=39

......................And certainly can't continue a thread that got closed here on TB!:rollno:

The information I got was from the "horses mouth", as high up as you can go in Epi land ;)! I am just trying to relay information along, not re-open a topic...................That being said (being in businesss myself), I can say that it would not be cost effective for many companies to ship USA made parts to China just for "assembly", to ship them back again. If you added that cost to the process, it would be cheaper to make the products right here................Especially for a smaller company, doing less volume. Less usually costs more to produce!

I'm sure someone can verify this at NAMM next month!

I'm getting rid of my Ashdown and getting another PS112 to go with my GK MB2500:bassist::bassist:

I'm going to use it as my one and only gig rig. I'll either bring one PS112 or two depending on the room. How do you like your setup? I hope I don't miss my 4x10 but I need to sell it to fund another Epi cab.

I love it! Very versatile, and light weight. I'm really particular on my mids, and I'm totally diggin' it.

I wouldn't think twice about using 2 PS112s. Come to think of it, that's what I do. I'm not real sure why there aren't a bunch of 20 page threads about these particular cabs. Great cab, great price, very little buzz about them.

EDIT: I should qualify this by saying I've only ever gigged with one of them. I've never used both on a gig. Didn't own the second one when I last played anywhere.

Excellent cab!! Definitely the sleeper cab of the Epifani lineup.
