epifani UL & UL2

The UL cabs by Epifani have changed from Series I to Series II with drivers from a different source.

These have been designated different ways by different people.

I'd be a bit surprised if there are any Series I left new at any dealers' showrooms.

At one point, I believe the badges on the Series II cabs indicated them as such; not sure if this is still the case.

+1.. the II cabs have the 'II' designation on the badge on the front of each cab, so it's easy to tell.

i think they've redesigned the UL and renamed them UL club and concert series depending on what size cab you get.
they've got a new grill and the speaker cones have the epifani logo on them. apparantly they sound better and everything is now ecofriendly.
i haven't tried the new series out yet but they are different from the ones that are being sold at bass central.
new stock to old stock

I just picked up a UL410 II directly from Epifani last Monday...the badge on the grille indicates that it is s series II (as are all cabs currently being sold new), but the speakers no longer say Epifani on them...

Same here, badge says series 2, but no name on the cones. Mines a 212, greatest little cab I've ever owned.

It really is amazing how great these rigs sound. I was a bit nervous at first due to cost, but man, within 10 seconds of plugging in, it was no longer a question of if, but rather one of how and when!

How could speaker cabs not be eco-friendly? Are we concerned about the dwindling supply of rat fur? ;)

HI

Just to clear things up. The cones have not had the Epifani signature on them for many years. Those were the old NYC's without the NEO drivers. The UL series cabs stand for ultralight with Italian poplar frames and bracing and NEO speakers. The series one's had the badge which simple read "Epifani" on the grill. The series 2's have a different badge which reads "series 2" under the Epifani name. Neither have the signature on the speaker cone
