The Hevos Midget 12" combo (www.hevos.nl) was a secret in Europe, finding its way to bassists now. Hard to get, you have to visit Holland or buy via internet......

I have both cabs so I can put in my $0.02.
First off, let me say that the UL112 has been my favourite cab in the last 4 years for both electric and upright. I've bought and sold several cabs of different makers and configurations......only to realize just how good the UL112 works for me. However- and I think fellow UL112 owners will agree with me on this- the low end is not very strong on the UL112.
The AE112, in comparison is very even across the spectrum.
No peaks or valleys. The mids are not as strong as the UL112 but not as nasal either. I never thought of the UL112 as nasal until I AB-d it with the AE112. It seems more present and aggressive on stage. I still love the UL112 for the upright and it does bring out the magical mids of my Fodera 6 str. but for average gigs the AE112 is my new speaker.
I think they are both great, just a different take on the same thing. I hope that helps!

Just to add to my review above:
I plugged in both cabs and placed them side by side. I played a downward scale and I noticed that the lower register seemed to "pan over" to the AE112. It felt like there is more coming out of the AE112 than the UL112.
It would be my intuition to use the two together to compliment each-other, namely to make up for what the UL112 may lack in the low end, however I think I want a more homogenous setup. The AE112 lacks nothing, only the mids are more natural.

All things being relative I once owned the Epifani PS-112 and still have a Berg HT-112. They were both very good cabs, with each one tuned to deliver lows while still cutting through the mix in it's own way. I kept the berg because I found it to be more even and natural sounding, with something going on in the low mids that allowed it to sound very dark and weighty without being too boomy.
