Epifani UL502 question?

I recently picked up a UL502. Does anyone know if I can run a 8 ohm & 4 ohm cabinet together at 2.6 ohms or if they do not recommend anything less than 4 ohms total load?

Any input will be great.

Also, Is there a bag out there that can be used with this head? I dont want to rack it with the rack ears.

Epifani recommends a 4ohm minimum. Running a 2.67 ohm load may cause undesirable results.

Not sure about the bag, I had the Epifani carry case, but I didn't like it. It was MUCH too snug and the liner tended to rip very easily from the ul502's sharp corners. I had my UL502 in a gator 2 space padded rack, it made for a lightweight, quick, and easy setup.

That's a good question about the bag. I just picked-up the same amp and was wondering if there was a bag on the market that will fit the head less the ears.

For bag options, you guys could consider the Gigskinz medium mixer bag (Link Removed) or the Gator G-MIX-B 1515 mixer bag (Invalid Link Removed), though neither are a perfect fit. Another thought would be to get a laptop bag.

Per the above comments, the 502 is large enough and heavy enough to not really be 'bag' friendly. It also is a non standard size, and will not fit into some 2 space racks like the SKB standard rack.

I found that the Gator 2 space rack bag is the best option for this head. It fits perfectly, and it has a nice pocket for cables. It's not much heavier than a good quality bag, and it protects the amp nicely.

Thanks for all of the info. i like the gigskinz bag but not sure if I want to take it completely out of the bag every time I use it. It might be more convenient to just rack it and zip open the front and back of a Gator rack case. But then it kind of defeats the purpose of downsizing the package.
