Epiphone Constellation EA-72

Just picked this baby up for $150. Sounds amazing and has that warm tube sound. I am having a hard time finding out much about it. Has anyone else played / owned one of these before?

Nope. But it sure looks neat . I likes it, yes I does  .

Google says it's a 50 watt amp with a 15" speaker. Looks like it's vacuum-tube powered?

Think a buck fifty was probably a good deal (very good?) as long as it's 100% functional (which I guess it is or you'd have mentioned it).

I owned a Constellation mid to late Sixties. I liked the amp and it was an unusual unit for the Liverpool, UK area. Mine had been recovered with tolex similar to VOX. The 15" driver had been replaced with a driver from Wharfdale. It was loud for the times but was rather big. I traded mine in for a Blonde BF Fender Bassman. I returned the Fender but the Constellation had been sold so I just left it there.

Incidentally, the amp uses 6L6GCs and not plain old 6L6s.
