I have a MIM pbass and an EPiphone t-bird with a bold on neck. How hard or tricky would it be to put the P neck on the Bird ala John Entiwistle? Seeing as how there both bolt on necks it would be easier than doing it with a neck through gibson

I would take them to a luthier and ask his opinion before you do anything, especially if you have no experience.

Very difficult. Even if the necks have the same heel, which I don't believe they do, the necks are different and will not intonate without major adjustment.

I was going to do this with my old non-reverse Epiphone Tbird and Encore Precision style neck, but alas, the Epi neck heel is squared off while the other is curved.
