Epiphone tbird mods.

So I heard the neck dive was bad. But didnt think it was as bad as it is. So How do you stop the neck dive? I heard if you moved the strap button it helped but where do you move it to?

And where can you find a black or tort replacement t bird pickguard? The white distracts from the sunburst and I dont like it. Warmoth has them but they say they are for their thunderbird bodys only? Are they the same size just the screw holes are different? I dont really care if thats the case since im not going to sell it.

you can get pickguard blank material and cut your own... stewmac.com has them, warmoth has blanks, you can find blanks on ebay.

as far as the strap button, I know a guy that moved his bottom strap button farther to the "left" of center.
I moved my top strap button to one of the neck screws. his method works great for him, my method works great for me (and my method didn't involve drilling :P)

Tbirds don't actually neck dive. it's just that it's meant to play it low, if you try to play it low, it won't neck dive as much as your play it high. it's all about he placement of the bass. 2 cent.

This is how I solved neck dive. I took a dunlap straplok button and got a long screw and a brass tube from the hardware store and made my own straplok extension.

The birds have neck dive ... it is a problem of where the enter of gravity is and where the strap button is ...
