Epiphone Thunderbird Pro IV opinions

So someone has offered to trade me one of those pro thunderbirds with the active pickups for my fender meteora, and I was wondering if anyone had one and had any thoughts on the bass they would share. I already own a classic pro and one of the new 64 thunderbirds, so I know I love the way they play. I love the natural finish and I've been interested in the pro series since they came out, but never had the funds or chance to play one. Here is a picture of the thunderbird he's offering. Only "issue" is that the logo was removed from the headstock (I'm guessing to make it look like the other epiphone birds)

The active version? You can try it for a different tone. At worst, EMG offers a range of drop-in pickup replacements that sound like P, J or double coil active pickups. You can combine these with the active circuit inside this bass.

One of the first quality basses I bought way back in 2014. Should've never sold it, but I can say the same for a few other basses, too.
Great neck, very smooth, nice bridge, and the electronics seem perfectly suited for tapewoundss or flatwounds.
I would definitely like another one, they look great, especially in that finish, but the last few I've seen on Reverb were $700 and up.
Just managed to fit in my Gator Pro Go gig bag after removing bottom bumper, too.

I have the same... it became very quicly my main bass, and the stock pickups / preamp sounds very good, and I can get a wide arry of sounds out of it. I play mainly in a cover band, so I need to adapt the sound depending on what the soings needs. But i tend mostly to use it with blend / Bass / / treble all at center points.

Strung mine with Cobalt Flats and added an Hipshot Bass Xtender so I can drop me E to a D with the flick of a switch.

It is also amazingly stable even when Humidity / Temperature changes drastically (like in outdoor gigs in the evening).
