I wanted to provide an update. We played last night and I changed two things:
-Moved the cab away from the piano by about 1.5 feet or so
-Used the graphic EQ on the amp to reduce the 125 and 250 Hz bands as well as increase frequencies past 500. I didn't change anything more than a few db.
The improvement was very noticeable. Even the music director commented on it and I didn't even tell her I'd changed anything. I think there may be more room for improvement but these were definitely a step in the right direction.
